Athena||Knight
General Information
Alias(es): Athena, Thena (By Ares when they were young)
Gender: Female
Orientation: Straight
Mate: Hawk
Age: 3 Years
Pack: Vertok
Rank: Knight
Height/Weight- She stands at 27 inches tall, being on the smaller side of the wolf size spectrum though her stature helps her move at a fast pace, she is much better at the chase and tracking then direct combat. She weighs in at 72 pounds.
Scent- Athena spend a lot of time in the water and often carries the pure scent of it. When the spring comes she does enjoy the meadows and tall grasses, taking on the sweet scent of flowers.
Voice- Kiernan Shipka. Her voice is feminine though holds a knowing edge to it that has slight authoritative tones to it.
Calm- With logic comes her ability to remain calm. Though some may describe her face as stoic, it is merely and expression of being in control of ones emotions and not letting stressful situations get the best of her. In the one time that she didn't think something through she had almost died if it wasn't for her pack. Tying in with loyalty, she will always be a Vertok-dedicated to their ways and their safety giving her comfort and calm.
Compassionate- Athena is one to lend an ear to those in need and it isn't rare to see her watching smaller creatures, like chipmunks and song birds, with a soft look in her eyes. She's been known to save one of two if they're in a dangerous situation and even though she isn't a mother, she assists the mothers of pups and the Bishops if they need any form of support and unlike those that avoid death she confronts it. She isn't afraid to lay by a dying wolf and bring them comfort during their last breaths.
Pessimistic- Though she is calm and compassionate Athena has a rather...dismal outlook on life. She's lost her family and has yet to make any close connections. She knows that there are good things in the world, but she often prepares for the worst and isn't known to sugar coat things in terms of the future.
Loyal- Just like how her father was loyal to the Sanzin, Athena is loyal to the Vertok. The pack continues to accept her despite the betrayal of her brother and father and trusts her as a Knight and she owes the pack her success. She doesn't dream of leaving this pack and finds peace in continuing to follow their ways.
Solitary- Though she doesn't dislike being around others, Athena can often be found alone. She often patrols by herself and in her spare time is out in the open air, lost in her thoughts when she isn't needed by anyone.
He didn't regard them as evil, he thought of them as superior in their hard and tactful ways, though in public he kept those thoughts quiet and while Athena's mother was alive he seemed content with that life style, until a few months after giving birth to Athena and Ares, she grew ill. The mystery sickness eventually taking her life and leaving Titus to raise their two children. After she left this world Titus turned to his children and drilled them to become warriors. To the rest of the pack it appeared he was raising two just Knights, but in private he was training his children to turn on the Vertok and ally with the Sanzin.
You see, as the years had passed Titus had strayed from his loyalty to this pack and began to work with the wolves of Sanzin, silently gathering information for them, but that didn't last too long once Athena and Ares reached a year. Athena was curious to where her father was going and one evening confronted him about where his allegiance lied. Athena took after her mother in looks and matter of thought. She loves her pack and will do anything for them, even if it means turning on her father. Deep inside Athena knew that his teachings were wrong. She could see the kindness in the Vertok as a strength and held close the tales of their past, trying not to be influenced by her fathers beliefs, though she hadn't thought that her father would end up trying to kill her for their disagreement.
The day after the confrontation her brother Ares approached her, asking her to come help their father, claiming he had been trapped by falling rocks. Without a second thought Athena rushed to his aid, though found nothing amongst the pile of rocks. In her confusion she was vulnerable. Both her father and brother attacked her, determined to silence her from revealing their secrets as she had threatened to do if they didn't stop their foolish idolations of the Sanzin.
The attack took the young girl by surprise but due to her training she was able to fend of her father and brother, the sounds of their fighting echoing through the mountain paths and reaching the ears of the other Vertok who rushed to her aid. Together the Vertok chased off Titus and Ares, though the guilty males promised over their shoulders that they would be back.
Their words echo in her head from time to time as Athena continues to serve the Vertok as a Knight. She rarely speaks of the incident-nor does anyone else. Instead she focuses on her work and her few pleasures that come after a long day. The pack still treats her as family though she feels as if she is nothing more than an orphan. She doesn't reside in her family's sleeping area anymore-no one does, instead she found her own spot outside of the caves and that's where she spends her time when not swimming, exploring, or running the duties of a knight.
