Thoughts| "Spoken Word | Outside Speech | kaz
Persuasive skills. The phrase made her want to laugh, but instead she held it back, enjoying the feel of the sun as it dried her fur. "I don't think my skills are that good, I just speak to others the way should be and if they decide to join me, well then so be it." She said said, allowing a small smile on her maw, eyeing Murmur from the side with her yellow eyes. "If either have us have a talent with words, I do believe that would be you." She said with a kind tone.
"In regard to my group, there's no need to worry about us. Well. Most of us. Some are rough around the edges." As she spoke she thought of her second in command, he wasn't the most welcoming, but they complemented each other, he was a good balance for her. She also though of Smoke, the odd Assassin who liked to taunt others and rile them up. She did have a strange little group. "In my years as their leader, I've found it better to be clear in our intentions as to not cause problems with other groups. From what I've seen there are quite a few packs here and loners, the last thing I need to to cause a war or something between them all." She said casually, not everything had to end up in violence-unless there was no other option. She was ready to respond to all his questions and statement, or at least she thought until the last one left his mouth.
Why did wanderers band together?
"I can't answer for everyone as to why we band together instead of living as loners. Some members are born into this group and others, like me, are drawn to it. This group, the Mercurior, we call it, is like a pack for loners. For the most part of the year we are alone but some together for meetings and we each have our own ranks that have to do with trades such as assassins, spies, mercenaries, and healers. We are like free agents in a way. My members can be contracted by others to do these jobs and for the most part are left alone. I chose to join this pack because it let me feel kinship while also being able to keep my space from others. I got to be alone without feeling alone, if that makes sense." She explained, picking her words carefully though she didn't expect it to make sense. She had come across other wolves who had just laughed in her face at the idea of this pack that wasn't a pack, but she didn't take it to heart. She had been suspicious when she had first joined too, but in the end it had fit her needs and she was content.
I was made to rise above it.

“I don’t think my skills are that good,” said Timber. “I just speak to others the way they should be and if they decide to join me, well then so be it." He thought she must just be being modest. Speak to others the way they should be? She must mean with respect, he thought, for surely many wolves have not been treated with respect and kindness. Murmur had found that others were often quite receptive to new ideas should you approach them with a bit of consideration. “If either have us have a talent with words, I do believe that would be you." This he smiled at sheepishly, but offered no comment. She went on to speak of her little band of vagabonds, pausing here and there in thought. She said she’d been their leader for years, had been treading carefully among the other groups in the area. They were a loosely tied together pack, united only by their name and their leader, from what Murmur could gather. His ears swiveled forward as she spoke, caring little about the world around them, trying to catch her words and understand them. Very curious. He’d never heard of a group quite like hers. Mercenaries, it seemed. But her last statement caught his interest: “I got to be alone without feeling alone.” He pondered this sentence a moment. She had hit the nail on its head for him, he thought. The perfect medium. To be a part of something greater and yet not be totally committed to it. Murmur’s interest was piqued, though he did not let this on. He thought quietly for a while before speaking. “It sounds as if you’ve found solace in this group.” He spoke slowly, only rarely glancing over at the woman before him, instead choosing to look upon their surroundings. A small pause as his thoughts wandered, but quickly his grin was back and he looked over at Timber. “The ‘Mercurior,’ hm? I cannot help but wonder at what sorts of jobs your wolves are commissioned for,” said Murmur, an eyebrow raised in question.@bri

I was made to rise above it Timber laughed a little at his worry of her clarification. She cast an easy gaze to him, thinking that perhaps, he didn't have to worry about being perceived as a threat to others. "Well, being new to the valley, I figured it's best to make intentions clear so no...fights break out." She said, though she knew that such skirmishes couldn't be avoided all the time, but she wanted to avoid them as much as she could. If the wrong word got out it could jeopardize the Guild's ability to stay in the valley.
"Persuasive skills?" She laughed, shaking her head, "I didn't realize I had such a thing," she mused, though briefly she thought back to her first home, when during a time when he parents where teaching her the ways in which it was proper to talk to others. "Well, when being part of my Guild, the Mercuriour we call it, you get the benefits of being in a pack without having to actually be in a pack."
The fae shifted a little, enjoying the warmth as the sun started to dry her fur. "You get a rank in a specialized trade and receive jobs to perform and even though you part of us, you remain fairly independent for we do not live together in a pack grounds, unless you wish to pair with someone, and upon completely a job you get payment," she explained, thinking of the moment she told the very same words long ago, "we also have food and medicinal stashes across the area accessible to all of us who wear our brand, you get to be part of a group without having to constantly live with each other and be stuck in one place. We offer protection but also freedom."
