[googlefont="Spectral"] The day has come and the wolves have begun to gather. The first to arrive and the guides of the group, Lord Timber and a few members of her guild wait for the rest of their companions of the packs to arrive. But they find that, rather than the pack wolves arriving first, a few loners of whom were invited by members of the guild to assist arrive first. As they join with the guild, the others begin to arrive, the Vertok arriving first, followed by the Au'Dar and the Sanzin at the same time. With all of the wolves of each group brought together, plus a few extras, the time has come to find and destroy the dam.
Reminders
- Every member's first post in this thread are regular posts describing the characters arriving at the meeting place and everyone moving together up the mountain and finding the dam. The rest of the posts in the thread will be attacking the dam and will be short and quick, their content determined by the dice rolls. Those posts do not have a word count, they just need the dice number rolled and a quick description of what happens.
- Dice Rolls // Everyone rolls 1-20 in the dice thread. The number you roll determines how much damage you do and how effective your methods are. The higher the number, the more successful. The lower the number, the more likely you are to get hurt and/or fail miserably. Everyone can choose how the rolls impact the result.
- The dam has a health bar for the wolves to diminish. When the bar reaches 0, the dam will burst. The dam has 300 health to start.
- Note: Characters can still interact with and help each other throughout the thread in the short posts, as long as any form of powerplaying is avoided unless given permission.
- There is no word count requirement for any of the posts. They can be quick and short or longer and more detailed.
- Extra: At the bottom of this post there is a code for a small template that everyone may use in their attack posts. It is not required that you use it. It's just a basic little template to keep things simple and to the point. Feel free to use it, or use your own.
- For the sake of keeping the thread going at a steady pace, we are placing a general three-day limit to posting replies. If the person meant to post before you has not done so in 3 days, you have permission to skip over them.
Or if you yourself do not think that you can get a post up before needed, you may choose to be skipped beforehand.
Dice Rolling Thread: Link
Order The general order members take turns in is determined by character pack and rank. If you entered the event with more than 1 wolf, you still put both wolves in 1 post.
- Bri // Timber (M)
- Burn // Coa (M), Cal (V)
- Jay // Dante (L), Othis (S)
- Zawki // Axel (L)
- icea // Adeleine (L)
- Molo // Hawk (V)
- Cheshire // Leo (A)
- Razza // Mikhail (A)
- Abyss // Nesta (S) & Progress Update
- Order of arrival by group: Mercurior, Loners, Vertok, Au'Dar/Sanzin
- Even if you have 2 wolves in one post, the order of arrival is still the same, so even if the wolves before yours have not had posts yet, they are there.
- It is assumed by the packs that the loners are members of the guild

Now that the day was here the Lord of Mercurior found herself pacing the clearing where everyone were to meet. She was alone, for now, isolation her companion between her sparse meetings with other beings that called this valley home and now she was going to be surrounded by strangers with different belief's and mindsets from her, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing just...something she'd have to get used to in this time. She had to set an example for her guild and the responsibility weighed heavier on her shoulders than ever before. There was no use in prolonging it, the valley needed them to move fast. With a sigh the wood toned fae came to a stop, feeling the anxiety clench her chest like a vice, tilting her head towards the sky as she released a long and low howl that seemed to echo around her long after she closed her maw. She did her best to force down her worries, telling herself all would be well and part of herself believed this but...if that was the case then why did a dark shadow seem to hang off of her like an invisible cloak?

The air was unusually thick and hot, ruffling the autumnal male’s fur in a way that had him on edge. There was movement all around him as there had been all morning and into the afternoon. Scents wafted past, coming and going and returning again. Some vaguely familiar as blurred faces crossed his memory, others foreign, carrying the scent of packs he had not been aware of. Curious yet concerning in an invigorating way, keeping Dante on his toes as he fought his better judgment against inserting himself into the fray. For what reason multiple wolves were congregating in one area was beyond him but the traces of familiarity on the wind were particularly striking. A howl rang out, startling him. A call to arms. It was nearby. Without another thought Dante pressed forward towards the sound, burnt sienna eyes squinted with curiosity but a smile present with excitement. He entered an area where many figures were, too, emerging. He looked around with bewilderment. The Ace moved leisurely but with purpose towards the designated meeting spot. He was in no particular hurry to be the first to arrive because it would not matter much in the end. As far as he was concerned, all participants of the expedition team needed to be present, but that did not mean he would extend his patience. It was all rather curious to Othis. A guild who appears then declares a dam to be the valley’s key to salvation. He believed it to be a little too coincidental, and if he were being optimistic, a little too good to be true. A group of selected wolves to break down a beaver dam to deliver water to the valley. Furthermore, to grant the guild permanent entry into their land. The proposal struck Othis as quite pompous. The ever-sanguine Vertok and guild leaders seemed to have staked everything on the success of ridding the alleged dam. He had not been the only one wary of the peculiar guild leader. His faith in her was even less than his shred of willingness to be optimistic. What benefits would she promise afterward? He wished he could foretell, for all he knew the effort the collective was making would ultimately be for naught. But, his opinions aside, Othis would press onward. Water to the valley was of utmost importance, to the Sanzin especially. His trust would not hinge on the mission’s success. What happened to the guild after, he had not much margin to care. His ears twitched to the rhythm of pawsteps behind him. Nesta certainly was not the first individual he would have selected to accompany him. If it had been left entirely up to him he would have opted to attend alone, but the woman volunteered. Her attitude was distasteful and her presence irked him, but she was dedicated to her job — that he could at least acknowledge. The scents around them grew thicker as many wolves entered his line of sight. It seemed the duo was among the last to arrive.

Axel Excited to see what the day had to offer, Axel padded along, occasionally lifting his nose to sniff the air. He could tell there were many wolves up ahead, but he kept to Coa's trail. As much as he wanted to meet them all, it could wait just a little while. He knew autumn would soon be on its way, and he couldn't wait to plan out a whole list of activities they could do together. As the distant shapes of wolves came into view, he hesitated for a moment to try and make out the familiar coat of his friend. It wasn't long before he saw her, causing him to race over excitedly, covering the distance with long strides. He came skidding to a halt in front of her, his tail wagging wildly. "Coa! I-" Axel paused suddenly, his ears perking as he recognised the familiar scent of another wolf nearby. He quickly turned to look, his eyes widening with excitement. "Dante?"

Coahoma Coa found herself trotting along the mountainous forest, her gait heavy and her tongue lolling out the side of her mouth in the summer heat. She had just heard Timber's call up ahead, despite having followed behind the Lord the entire time. For an older woman, Timber certainly could move! Well, okay... maybe Coa had gotten distracted along the way, but just occasionally.Ducking under branches drooping in the dry heat, Coa finally arrived where her Lord awaited. "Hey, there you are, Timber! Er- Ma'am!" She grinned and wasted no time padding up next to the stout woman. "You are fast! I got here as quick as I could! I'm excited, aren't you? We get to meet so many new wolves," Coa rambled. Her sage eyes practically sparkled with the prospect of meeting so many wolves from so many different packs. She hoped she would get a chance to talk to them all today. Then, her eager grin turned to something mischievous. "Not to mention, finally make our mark here, eh?" She nudged Timber with her elbow as she spoke, "Get it? 'cuz the mark?" and turned her body to show off the red crescent insignia on the white of her hindquarter. The Mercurior Lord didn't even get a chance to respond - or at least if she did, Coa didn't hear her, as she was now completely distracted by someone calling out her name. Her head whipped around, and her expression immediately brightened into a wide smile, showing elongated canines. Not just anyone! "Axel?!" No way! She hadn't seen him in... Well, she didn't exactly know how long, probably a few days at best, but it was too long for her tastes! The large woman turned towards him as he bounded towards them. Instantly she dipped into a half-play bow, meeting his eye level if anything, and her happily swaying tail may or may not have thwacked Timber a couple of times. She opened her mouth to ask what he was doing here, but before she could utter a sound, her friend had turned towards another wolf emerging from the treeline, one with the richest autumnal colors imaginable. Dante, Axel called him. "Dante!!" Coa greeted, just as giddily as she would a long-time companion, even though she really had no idea who he was. But he looked fun, and apparently, Axel knew him, so that was good enough for her! "Is this a friend, Axel?" She asked as she walked along towards the male, completely forgetting about Timber and the task at hand. Now, all she cared about was friends, and her wagging tail clearly showed it. Mentioned: Timber, Axel, Dante - Addressed: Timber, Axel, Dante-ish [googlefont="Spectral"] Calaveras Tracking had always come easily to the earthen-colored man, and thankfully today was no different as the wind came through the mountain passes and wafted the scents of other wolves toward him. Most were unfamiliar, but at least there was one he could recognize, if only vaguely: the woman who had helped rescue a few of the Vertok's...less desirable pups. She did say she had business with the King and Queen, and, well, this must be it, Calaveras assumed. He didn't know much of the details - he hadn't bothered to ask - but suddenly a whole bunch of wolves was gathering to work together to restore life to the valley, or however the elegant speech of the leaders had gone. It had been him and a Vertok Knight who had been selected, and now they found themselves embarking on this mission. Calaveras turned to glance at the alabaster male, Hawk. He couldn't say he was too familiar with the man, perhaps heard some appraisal of his keen work floating around the pack, and so far Cal didn't think he was too bad. Though, he found himself wondering what the man thought of this big gathering of packs. They were getting close to the origin of the meeting call, now, and so far, Calaveras wasn't sure what to think. He was both curious about so many wolves, but also mentally preparing himself for whatever was to come. One inhale and a low, drawn-out exhale later, Calaveras stepped forward to push past the underbrush of the tree line. He stepped aside, using his body to hold back bushes and branches for Hawk to pass easily through - a common courtesy of a countryman. When he himself emerged into the clearing, he laid whiskey eyes on a multitude of figures. There in the center stood Timber, then off to the side were three other wolves: a smaller fellow accompanying a robust woman, and a male of warm, wild fur. Wait, was that the guy that also helped Malakai and his friends? Cal hadn't noticed his scent at first, but a face like that was easily recognizable. Finally, he noticed two other wolves break from the forest just about the same time as he and Hawk. One thing was for certain - Calaveras didn't know all but two of these wolves, barely, and they were all taller than him, except for that one man talking to the big woman and russet savior. Not that Cal minded being one of the shortest, but he was starting to wonder if the wolves around here were all just as big as the mountains. He wasn't quite used to either of them yet. Well, no matter. He was here now, and there was a job to be done. He figured he best talk to the head woman herself to figure out what he was meant to do. Calaveras ambled towards Timber, hoping he wasn't interrupting anything. "Ma'am," He greeted with a polite dip of his head. "You gotta plan fer us all?"Mentioned: Everyone + Malakai, Shepherd, and Zero - Addressed: Timber
