Thoughts| "Spoken Word | Outside Speech | Tag Though every season has its own marks of beauty: Summer with the heat of the sun, Spring with its refreshing rains, and Autumn with its color changing leaves, Winter with its fresh snow of unmarked beauty would always be Silvers favorite. The snowflakes were soft and gentle as it fell down from the skies, tickling her whiskers and frosting her breath as it hung in the-for a moment suspended in time until fading away. It was beautiful. She smiled to herself as she went along her walk, her paws breaking on the fresh few inches of snow. At first the cold was startling but it was easy for the she wolf to get used to. She tilted her head towards the sky, taking a deep breath as more flakes fell, bringing a smile to her maw. The pack lands of the Au'Dar were quiet, it was still mid morning and yet the Anima had many of her tasks down, leaving her for some idle time. She wasn't sure what she was doing or where she was going, but a walk was what her mind asked for and so she complied.
She passed by the gardens, now lulled into a sleep from the frozen hand of Winter. Her paws carried her on out of the Au'Dar land and into that of the neutral land. She knew she shouldn't venture far but the promise of freedom and the lack of todays responsibilities were too tempting. The white wolf left behind her home to explore, though if found it could be disasterous. Someone such as herself shouldn't be out meandering and yet she was. Perhaps for a day she could let herself pretend to be normal while she allowed her mind to wander along her paws.
Many would call her a fool but it wasn't her intention for others to know about her lack of judgement. She knew she couldn't handle herself in a battle and so the concerns of conflict were lost on her, again she wished to have a day to be normal as she made her way outside of the Au'Dar forest and into the land beyond.

She walked along the frozen field, small paws crushing into the snow with a satisfying crunch. That was the only sound that filled her ears, paired with her slow and deep breaths that felt like ice-cold daggers grazing her lungs. Her body felt heavy, weighed down by the drifting snowflakes riding the wind, melting into her plush tangled fur. But her head felt incredibly, and completely, light — completely empty, and as blank as the blanket of white that surrounded her.
The wind had carried her for miles, leading her to places unknown. Eden had no particular destination or preference in mind for where she wanted to land. She went where she pleased, whether that was toward paradise or desolation. She was unfit to tell the difference anyway. Her dark honey eyes mindlessly strayed too. The grey and white sky looked no different than the ground below. The only thing that separated them was the distant streaks of green and black treelines that bowed beneath the pressure of snow. Some of the trees were barren while others clung to their leaves. But there was no denying that when the chilling wind blew, their hollow trunks rattled and wailed.
Eden felt the same, but being anything else was a luxury that didn’t exist. Her resolve to survive was firm, so she forced herself to subsist, and eventually her body acclimated — so much so her teeth stopped chattering and her eyes stopped stinging. She disliked being cold but had a strong bias towards it; it became a shield. During these months, it was less likely she encountered other predators, and the unpredictable ground made pursuing rabbits slightly easier, but only when the ice didn’t grip her too. The frozen air enhanced her dull nose, concentrating the scents that lingered. And it calmed her, clearing her mind and lulling it into a serene trance-like state.
Her face was untouched by a tense scowl, instead relaxed and vacant. When the gentle but prominent scent of another wolf touched her dry nose, she glanced over but didn’t stop moving. A distant figure walked along the nearby horizon just as she, pale in color and meandering peacefully. It wasn’t uncommon that a few others shared mutual feelings about winter, preferring to explore its endless white expanse rather than hole themselves up somewhere damp and suffocating. Winter's touch was unavoidable; there was no point in trying to hide from it.
She watched the figure move. They were both heading in the same direction, walking almost side by side. She breathed in but all that she smelled was the bitter cold. But they were close enough for Eden to hear the subtle crunch of snow under their paws that were in tandem with her own. |

Thoughts| "Spoken Word | Outside Speech | Jay As she strayed farther from the Au'Dar territory Silver could feel her responsibilities shed from her back, the proverbial weight lifting off of her shoulders with each paw step. Her chest rose and fell with every frozen breath as she took a moment to enjoy the silence-until it was broken by the sound of paws that didn't belong to her. She kept walking face slack though her eye darted to the side, catching the glimpse of another figure. For a minute she felt her heart stop, mind jumping to the conclusion that it was her Centurion coming to fetch her back and chastise her for leaving their lands, but as her eyes focused she realized the frame of the other wolf was too small and the pelt color wasn't right.
It couldn't be another wolf of her pack, this one didn't seem familiar nor did their scent that drifted to her come as familiar. Her brows knitted together. Who could it be? So far they didn't seem like a threat, though there was the chance they didn't see her white pelt against the perfect coating of snow. What do I do? The question played over and over in her head as she continued to walk, noticing that they seemed to be drifting towards each other. She needed to have some sort of plan for when their paths crossed, but her mind failed to come up with a solution.
Instead of panicking she fixed her gaze ahead when movement caught her eye. It was white and it was small but it flitted across the top of the snow, stopping momentarily, turning its head before crouching down and hopping along the snow in jerky steps. Until once again it stopped, though this time it hunched down, digging its front paws into the snow, sending it flying as it searched for the grass below, something to eat.
While the rabbit busied itself digging for food, Silver crouched down, tail flicking up as she watched the tiny creature before throwing herself forward at full speed, running directly for the innocent and oblivious rodent. Within seconds she had it in her mouth, snapping its delicate neck with a crunch of her jaws. For a moment Silver felt pained, if this little creature had lived in the Au'Dar forest it could have become a Tafa but due to a decision of fate it was now her lunch.
