An exceptionally brawny female, complete with a dense black and tawny coat that aids in protecting her from harsh weather and physical harm. adventurous • devoted • empathetic • persistent • spiritual • virtuous
Katiya, for as long as she can remember, has been a wanderer. Exploration is her way of life; a combination of knowledge-seeking and the sporadic desire to pursue a thrill are the reasons behind this. While this solitary lifestyle can be arduous and lonesome, the nomad is well suited for it, pressing onwards to explore the next new territory, or to meet the next stranger.
In spite of this solitary lifestyle, Kat finds joy in encounters with others and is generally an outgoing, cordial individual. The nomad could spend hours conversing with another, providing an attentive audience without care for the nature of the conversation or subjects discussed, though she harbors a special preference for things of a more philosophical or spiritual nature. Due in large part to her upbringing, the nomad values civility and morality, placing her in opposition to anyone that would prove themselves to be malicious. Katiya is willing to help and attend to others almost without concern for herself, and anyone that has earned trust or friendship will find a devoted ally.
If pressed too far, however, one might discover certain barriers the wanderer has put in place, such as a hesitancy to discuss her past, or future wants. While friendships and alliances are important, Katiya prefers to avoid getting too close to anyone. Wandering has been her way for as long as she can remember, Kat has yet to meet anyone or anything able to convince her to abandon it.
History
Born to a small band of nomadic wolves alongside a single brother, much of Katiya's early life was is a blur of traveling from one place to another, never remaining in a territory for too long. Kat and her brother were well cared for by her parents and her other extended family, though, during these periods of travel. During times of rest, the small band would often take up residence either in or nearby the territories of other established packs provided they were welcoming, trading knowledge, customs, and traditions with the members of these groups.
Departing from these places was a challenge for Kat, as leaving behind any friends or acquaintances proved difficult, at first. With time, though, Katiya and her brother adapted to this lifestyle, and for their first couple of years, things went well. After this, however, the group began to dwindle. Age or disease, sometimes both, began to claim lives until eventually only Kat and her brother were left, moving from place to place.
That is, until he too decided to part ways with the nomadic lifestyle, choosing instead to settle in as part of a pack, with a female that had caught his eye. In spite of his pleading for her to remain, Kat bid him farewell too, believed it her duty to carry on the lifestyle and legacy of their family for as long as she could.
