Temperatures are rising as summer sets upon the land that the packs call home, and the days are going longer. In the packs of Vertok and Sanzin not much has changed, both packs are fulfilling their day-to-day duties to stay alive, you could say each pack is experiencing peace within their borders, but the same can’t be said in the secretive grounds of the Au’Dar.
Their Centurion has been murdered in cold blood and a new wolf has taken the mantle, claiming that she is the reincarnation of their God of Summer and Fire: Zarmir. Such a shocking claim and the violent spilling of blood that has shattered the lives of this pack Akala is looking to change things. She is restless and ready to make the wolves of the Au’Dar be known to the rest of the world as a powerful force. Who knows what fate has in store for this pack and the rest of the lands.
In combination with this ripple of change in the Au’Dar land new wolves have been spotted roaming along the pack borders. These wolves appear to roam in solidarity but as scouts have noticed each has similar red marks, so perhaps this is a new group coming into the valley?
With all these changes there is one more that is life threatening: the water levels throughout the land are noticeably getting low. The main river that runs through the Au’Dar and Sanzin territories is shrinking. The banks are drying and fish are being trapped in shallow areas, the parts that branch off of the river are shrinking as well. Some creeks are dry completely, ponds and lakes are growing stagnant and receding within themselves. The plant life around these areas are yellowing and dying. The grass cracks under paw pads and flowers are drooping while prey items start to migrate away in search of better water sources, thus putting pressure on each of these packs and no one can seem to figure out why this is happening but if further left unchecked the land our wolves called home is at risk of dying from drought or the possibility of fire.
What are the packs to do? Some place blame on these newcomers, perhaps they are manipulating the water somewhere. Perhaps the God Zarmir is punishing his followers for his name being taken in vain?
No one is sure, but someone must act. The pack leaders have called an emergency meeting to decide the next steps to search for the remedy of the situation…will the wolves of varying packs be forced to come together? Will they call a truce and hunt down the solution together or will they continue to fight amongst each other at risk of their homes dying?
The intention of this event is to increase interaction with the Mercurior wolves while having differing wolves working together.
This is to be a group role play thread with a moderator who comes in to gently guide the characters in the right direction. Think of it as if it is a Dungeons and Dragons session, complete with virtual dice rolls and common enemies that need to be vanquished.
This is the first role play of this kind to take place on the site, so please ask questions, make suggestions, and please be ready to play it by ear and be patient.
Updates to the event as it goes on will be posted here.
The event will officially start on July 19th to give us time to prepare. The first step in this event is the leaders of the packs coming together in their emergency meeting to decide what to do and just who is to blame and how to find a solution.

**Please note that the Vertok is still in need of a King or Queen as an active character so they will be an NPC unless someone decides to take up the mantle.**
