This Is Me
A flash of movement within the radiant and warm colors of Autumn, Navi is a young woman with a pep in her step and a gleam in her eye, the sort that brightens a room when she appears. Easy on the eyes, she stands a little taller than your average wolf, with long legs and a slender torso reminiscent of a deer. With bulkier back legs for bounding forward, a long tail for balance, and little paws quiet as mice, one might have thought she really was a deer in a wolf’s body.
The whole of her body is covered in soft, if not a tad messy at times, fur that ranges both in length and color. Her pelt consists of primary warm Fall colors, a dark auburn serving as her primary color while the rest of her is marked in shades of deep dark brown, lighter auburn, and off-white cream. While most of her fur is somewhat shorter in length, it grows into a longer medium length at her joints, tail, and elbow tufts, and it grows even longer around her neck and out from her cheeks.
With dark brows often wiggling in a playful manner and round almond-shaped eyes, Navi is a rather charming lady and is hardly ever seen without a smile, though even someone like her has their quirks. One of these sorts of quirks is that of scars, which she holds a couple: a decent sized nick in one ear, a trio of gashes across her muzzle, and a big bite mark on one shoulder. Another little quirk about her is her nose, which is a gradient of dark gray and a light pink in the center, not quite a marble but rather cute. To top off her appearance, pale green orbs adorn her face, almost complimenting her warm-toned fur with a cooler color to balance it out.

Fur Length: Mostly medium and short fur, with longer fur on her neck and tail.

Eye Color: Pale green
Nose Color: Black and pink faded
Scars: 3 scratches on nose bridge, tear in left ear, large bite mark on right shoulder
Quirks: Sharp-pointed ears, long tail, small paws
Distinguishing Features: Autumn coloring, green eyes, multi-colored nose, long cheek fluff, shoulder scar

When it comes to personality, Navi is a ray of sunshine. Almost always in a good mood (or at least acting the part), it is very rare to find this she-wolf without a smile, whether that be a little perk, a teasing smirk, or a big toothy grin. This is one wolf who tries to see the best in all situations, rather optimistic in her nature and trying to keep those around her happy by being so herself. Throughout her life she has always been quite playful and free-spirited, enjoying playing games with others, playing pranks, picking on friends (out of love of course), or even some light-hearted flirting. She tries to keep things bright and doesn’t really see much of a point in dwelling on the past. If you are so focused on depressing things that happened in the past, how would you focus on the good things happening right in front of you? And, to add on to this cheerful persona, she is known for having a rather witty tongue, one that will throw out any greatly-timed comeback or well-meaning insult that she comes up with. If teasing were a love language, she would be the picture shown in its description.
When it comes to interacting with others, Navi isn’t the sort to fake what she feels or says, always very genuine in her treatment of others. If she interacts with you, it is not for ill-intentions or just because she has to; she just really enjoys talking to and being around others, much preferring company than being alone. She tries to meet and befriend as many wolves as she can (even if she ultimately forgets who they are in the end), and is willing to talk to just about anyone she sees, no matter how scary or unapproachable they seem. Unfortunately, though, a downside that comes with this is that while she does love meeting new wolves, if they don’t leave a distinct impression on her or aren’t particularly quirky in some way…her memory can be a bit short at times. It isn’t uncommon for Navi to meet a wolf multiple times and yet still forget their name every time she meets them again.
But, while she is very friendly and interactive, this can definitely lead her down some very undesirable paths. She tends to be a bit careless in her consideration of others, and even when they are clearly a dangerous figure to be around, she will still go for it. In this way, she is also a bit…reckless…and bold…and stupid at times; her witty tongue is most often used towards those she enjoys being around, but there are times when it grows rather sharp and unfiltered if someone gives her reason. Those who are full of themselves or think themselves superior are the most vulnerable to her insults, and not the playful kind either. She doesn’t care who you are or who you think you are. If you are an asshole, she will tell you so. Empty threats are laughable to her, so her life can get a bit…dangerous at times, depending on who she is around. And, something else that only adds to her danger factor, is that these sort of acts of sharp word apply to anyone, no matter their age, history, rank, or respect level. In a way, you could say that her respect for authority can be a bit rocky or sometimes nonexistent.
Something else that is typically hidden behind her constant smile and enthusiasm is a wolf who keeps their personal business to themselves and grows very tense when such things are brought up. Family, scars, past relationships, many things are kept inside, hidden from those who ask. And should they ask, she will either change the subject as quickly as possible or will give a very vague answer to avoid explanation. Truly opening up about the past to others is really hard for her, mainly because she has had the ideals of “don’t dwell on the past” ingrained in her head for so long. This idea was taught to her when she was young, and now as an adult she finds that at times it almost hinders her more than it helps. When you meet someone new, if they really want to befriend you, the main thing they will often question you on is who you really are, where you came from, your background, all things that she is very hesitant to share. She values the time of others, yet sometimes finds that actually connecting can be quite rough.
Strengths: Enthusiasm, making friends, looking on the bright side, playful banter, encouragement
Weaknesses: Short memory, careless actions and words, respect for authority, strict hierarchies, opening up emotionally
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Likes: Flowers, berries, Fall, meeting others, exploring, pretty scenery, playing games, pups
Dislikes: Spring, complete darkness, being alone, being stuck in one place, rain/storms, the feeling of gravel, authority, entitlement
Turn-ons: Bigger than herself, big paws, scars, FLUFFY AND SOFT, sense of humor
Turn-offs: Entitled pricks, cowards, laziness, boring, disloyal
Hobbies: Exploring, animal-watching, sun-bathing
Quirks: Very expressive body language, taps her feet a little when excited, blinks a lot, will call someone a random obscure animal name if she doesn't remember their actual name
Fears: Dying alone, drowning, being crushed to death, cougars
Goals: Make as many friends as possible, maybe start a family with someone special, one day see her family again

- Born in a very small pack consisting of 5 adults, 2 of whom had been pregnant and gave birth at the same time. In total there were 7 pups, all of whom all 5 adults raised together as though they were siblings.
- There were no super strict rules, there wasn’t any harsh parenting, and nothing was held back. Anything the pups asked was answered, even things pups didn’t understand. A very open family.
- The 5 adults were all very playful and lived casual lives, and though it wasn’t entirely clear, they may have been in one big poly relationship, though neither of the males in the group were the dads of any of the pups. The pups were never really told who their dad(s) were, they just grew up assuming they had 5 parents.
- Because of the adults’ playful natures, the pups all grew up enjoying their freedoms, running around, having fun, playing, seeing the good things around them rather than being paranoid about the dangers.
- This continued up until the pups reached 1 year of age. At this time some of the kids decided that they wanted to go out on their own and explore, while the others chose to stay with their parents. The ones who chose to go out on their own vowed to one day find their family again. Navi was one of those who decided to leave on an adventure.
-The next valley over that she ended up in, Navi ended up meeting a pair of wolves, both males, that seemed a lot like her. They were a pair of brothers who had wandered off on their own when they were old enough, sticking together. She got along relatively well with the two of them and they traveled together for a few weeks. But after a little while one of the brothers started to take more of an interest in her, and he didn’t hide it. Maybe she would have liked him, but he was quick to jump the gun and tried to ask her if she wanted to be his mate. While he was cute, that was not something Navi was looking for. She quickly turned him down and the next morning was gone.
- She kept traveling, not going anywhere in particular. She met a few wolves along the way that she just greeted, maybe hunted with, but then parted from just as quickly. Though she couldn’t go long without interacting with someone, she didn’t really want what happened before to happen again.
- She found herself in another valley, one that was mostly forest which she wasn’t really used to. In this forest she ended up meeting another wolf, one that actually caught her eye. Like herself, he was witty, sarcastic, and was most definitely a flirt. He wasn’t too bad on the eyes either, his fur a smooth gradient of many shades of black, grays, and near-white. She found his name was Alec, and even when she would move on, she always ended up finding him again. She never did piece together whether that was coincidence or planned on his part, but she couldn’t deny that he was charming. After encountering him a couple times, Navi caved and they agreed to travel together for a while. During this, Alec certainly did a lot of smooth talking and teasing, but never once did he mention becoming mates or anything like that. He was just a playful wolf who enjoyed the casual company of a female. Under this impression, he and Navi spent quite a while together, not as mates. When they eventually reached the other side of the valley, Navi had plans to keep going and actually asked if Alec would want to come with her. He seemed very hesitant, for he had grown fond of being with her. But in the end he chose to stay, for that valley was his home. Navi was admittedly sad, but she understood and departed.
- She spent a little bit of time alone, going over the mountain that lined that valley. She ended up on the other side, and while she would usually feel fine and focus on the land around her, she almost felt lonely. She had spent enough time with Alec that now, being alone, it just didn’t feel right. She kept moving forward, trying to ignore this feeling, until at some point she stopped, heavily debating going back to see Alec.
- She did turn around, but not even a few days after turning around she found herself meeting something that was apparently a theme now: a pair of brother wolves out wandering on their own. One of them was a lot like herself: playful, cheerful, very goofy. He was sort of like Alec, but he didn’t have that same witty smug attitude. The other was far more quiet, the stoic type, with a very serious face. He was a good bit larger than she was, his fur was a mix of dark blacks, browns, grays, and whites, and multiple parts of his body were covered in burn scars. There was something very captivating about him; maybe it was the scars, maybe it was his overall looks, or maybe it was the fact that he was almost a polar opposite of herself.
- Thrown off her original course, Navi found herself wandering around with the pair of brothers, getting to know them. She learned that while the scarred brother, who she found was named Rhys, while he was very serious and didn’t exactly “play” like the other two did, he had his weaknesses, one of which was that he had a love for howling. Navi often fell asleep at night listening to him sing, which was likely the first phase in what turned into a crush.
- She hadn’t planned to travel with them for as long as she did, but before long she had already been with them for months, getting closer to them both. Along the way, the playful brother started sneaking off sometimes, coming back with the scent of another wolf on his fur. Eventually he finally told Navi and Rhys that he had found himself a girlfriend and was going to go and start traveling with her. This left Navi and Rhys on their own, continuing to travel together. While in the beginning of her adventure Navi hadn’t been overly interested in taking a mate or falling in love, getting to know Rishu and spending so much time with him, she almost reconsidered this. Though neither of them ever actually asked, they started to take on the behaviors of a pair of mates: sleeping in the same den, hunting together, laying against each other, Rhys had even said sweet words to her about how he cared for her or didn’t want her to get hurt.
- Later on in their travels, Navi started to get a sort of home-sick feeling she hadn’t felt in a long time. She was many valleys away from where she was born, she hadn’t seen any of her siblings or any of her parents in quite a while. She loved Rhys’ company, but a part of her almost missed that feeling of…being a family. This thought, when she sorted it out, turned out exactly how she had expected it to. She attempted to bring up the idea of missing having a family, missing being surrounded by little siblings, being in a little pack, and eventually said the word pups. She had thought he would feel the same, but to her disappointment, Rhys seemed far from interested.
- Any time she brought up pups, he blew her off and changed the subject. She thought that maybe there was something wrong or he had some past that made him this way, but when she asked, he just got mad at her. It was this point when Navi started to question what exactly she wanted. She loved Rhys, that she couldn’t deny, but she also loved the thought of being able to raise a family. She loved pups, even though she hadn’t been around any in quite a while. Navi’s feelings for Rhys started to falter a little bit and she felt herself growing further apart from him.
- As they reached the edge of the valley, they ended up encountering a cougar, and a very angry and territorial one at that.To her surprise, Rhys’ first instinct was to yell for her to run and throw himself forward. Navi couldn’t let him fight that battle on his own, so she leaped forward into the thrawl. She clung on to the cougar’s back as Rhys went at its sides and face. Fighting against it together, the two of them were able to hold their own, but it did not last long. Rhys was getting himself beat to hell and back, and Navi could only do so much holding on. At some point the cougar threw her off of its back, slamming her into a tree. She was stunned, unbalanced and dizzy and sore. She watched through blurred eyes as the cougar immediately got the advantage with her off its back. She watched the big cat slam into and clamp down around Rhys’ throat and he went still. The terror that shot through her was enough to shake her from her daze, and she stood and bolted. She didn’t want to leave him, but she had a cougar on her tail for at least a day or two. She couldn’t turn back. She had reached the top of the mountain before she finally concluded it was done following her.
- She was lost. She had been questioning her feelings for Rhys for a little while, but losing him like that….it hurt. A lot. And she knew that that cougar probably went back home after chasing her and…..she couldn’t think about it. Unsure anymore, she kept going, continuing along the mountain in the same valley. She ran into the brother who had gone off with his new mate and she informed them of what had happened. She stayed with the two of them for a little bit, managing to cheer herself up some. But she couldn’t stay. She knew she couldn’t. She was a wanderer, after all. So, when the time came, she departed, heading to wherever her heart would lead her next. And, to be expected, she ended up here in VV.
