BASIC INFORMATION Full Name 〗 Shepherd Divine Aliases 〗 Most call him "Shep" - as an adult he'll likely take the title Shepherd "of Fire" Age 〗 6 Months; Young Adolescent Gender 〗 Cis Male, He/Him Sexuality 〗 Unknown Affiliation 〗 The Vertok Rank/Trade 〗 Pawn PHYSICAL APPEARANCE Height 〗 18in/45cm (puppy) - 37in/93cm (adult) Weight 〗 31lbs/14kg (puppy) - 152lbs/68kg (adult) Health 〗 Shepherd, to say the least, is not the most well cared for pup. He's noticeably bony from not eating enough, and his fur is a dirty, misshapen mess. He's alive though, at least Strengths 〗 Cunning and resourceful; uses his wit to his advantage. Well-muscled; although skinny as a pup, he has potential to become a chonky boy. Good immune system; being constantly dirty as a pup makes him less prone to sickness. Weaknesses 〗 Low endurance; runs out of stamina when running a lot due to lack of sustenance. Bravery; perhaps a bit too brave, he doesn't always know when it's time to run. Reckless; he rarely recognizes danger, and when he does he doesn't care enough to avoid it, this can lead him to injury quite often. Shepherd is a typical pup, with big ears, long legs, and big paws in awkward teenage anatomy; a boyish face yet and shorter, fluffy tail. However, he isn’t quite as normal as one may expect - he lacks the cute, chubby belly that most pups would have, instead his stomach is tapered and thin, with his ribcage clearly visible through his short fur. While most pups often dirty themselves in their play, Shepherd is beyond that- nobody bothers to clean him, and he certainly isn’t interested in grooming himself either, and so his coat is thick with dirt and grime, dusty, and askew. If anyone in the Vertok had fleas, it would be him. Most of the time he presents himself as the usual pup would- relaxed posture, bouncy gait, curious expression. But, at other times, his demeanor typically radiates arrogance, with a high head and tail, and his amber eyes burning with mischievousness above a shit-eating grin MENTAL CHARACTERISTICS Personality Type 〗 Extrovert Alignment 〗 Chaotic Neutral / Chaotic Evil Likes 〗 Summertime, confidence in both himself and others, having backup, praise, fish Dislikes 〗 Orders, snivelers, betrayal, being cold, having to clean himself, following With a shit-eating grin on his face and a glint of confidence in his eye, Shepherd can most often be seen rampaging around the Vertok with some stolen item in his grasp. Being the outcast of his family, the young boy grew up hardly raised at all and has fallen to whatever morals he sees fit to survive. He usually gets a kick out of stealing foods or herbs from the pack dens and thrives best in the chaos he causes. In a way, he’s naturally destructive - borderline sadistic - seeming to enjoy when he riles the pack up, and especially when his parents take the blame for not corralling their child. They hate him for that, and he hates them just as equally. Shepherd is driven by the spite of his family who so heartlessly pushed away their son, and it fuels his desire for trouble more and more every day. But, even the demonic little Shepherd can’t always deny how much it hurts to know that his own parents hate him. That psychotic grin is more of a mask than anything, trying to play tough and aloof and distracting himself by getting into trouble, covering up the feelings of depression and desperation for love and affection. Whenever Shepherd actually has to confront his parents, his protective walls of confidence seem to crumble. He usually slinks around them with a tucked tail and avoids eye contact the best he can. He’s afraid of them, and he absolutely hates himself for being such a coward. If anyone saw him that way or brought it up, he’s prepared to twist his tongue in lies to protect his pride and push it all away by pretending to be too cool to be bothered by such feelings. He’ll usually avoid his family as best as he can, and wander off far beyond the Vertok borders to get away. Even with the burden of hatred and shame that he carries on his shoulders, he is just a pup, after all, and enjoys having fun and going on adventures. When he’s comfortable, Shep can have quite the active imagination, and be a bit over-dramatic in some situations. He can be a bit gullible with that, often believing any little fairytale he hears or thinking he’s some brave, heroic knight rushing into battle…a little too brave, at that. The boy really has no sense of danger and can be very reckless, and usually, that can get him in quite the fix, more than likely dragging his best buds along the journey. But hey, where’s the fun and glory if there is no risk, right? RELATIONSHIPS Parents 〗 Heretic "Blood" (father, alive), Eternal "Rest" (mother, alive) Siblings 〗 Bat "Country" (older brother, alive), Fallen (litter brother, alive), Eclipse (litter sister, alive) Partner 〗 N/A Offspring 〗 N/A BACKSTORY “The Divines,” as they so proudly call themselves, are a family group of wolves who reside with the Vertok, though they carry with them their own set of beliefs and mannerisms that they pass down through each generation. They’re very proud wolves, considering themselves divine and better than others, and they expect all of their children to act formal and haughty as well. Though they are a small family, consisting of just two parents, the pups, and a couple of wolves from an older litter. Shepherd is from the most recent litter of the Divine family, born alongside his brother Fallen and sister Eclipse, by his father Heretic and mother Eternal. His older sibling Bat was still around to watch over them as well. His siblings were perfect examples of what his parents were hoping for; sophisticated young pups, with good manners who always did what the adults told them to. Shepherd, however...was nowhere close to that, at all. He was a wild, reckless, unruly pup who hated following orders and thrived in the chaos he caused, and so he was quickly pushed away from his own family. They wanted nothing to do with him, for they believed he was a stain on their reputation and didn’t possess the dignity to be amongst them. Shepherd pretends not to care though, he grew distant from them as they ignored him, and has grown used to scavenging through the rest of the pack for food and wandering off on his own, or just hanging out with the few friends he has. Deeper down, under his carefree mask, he is upset that his family has disowned him, however. He hides it, trying to be strong for himself, but it hurts to know that no one really cares for him, and how his own mother has spread nasty rumors about him being a devil child throughout the entirety of Vertok. Often he wanders out of the territory alone, to get some space from all the scrutiny, and adults insulting him more than teaching him. |
