Sariel
General Information
Alias(es): N/A
Gender: Female
Age: 4 years
Pack: Sanzin
Rank: Ten of Diamonds
Appearance
Sariel is gifted with a plethora of scars and a larger build. She has three on her left neck, another on her left underbelly, and a pair on her right flank. All of which were rewards for various scuffles with other wolves. Each she bears with pride. Every scar a reminder of her victories. There is a number of smaller nicks and scratches hidden beneath her coarse pelt. Sariel is almost never found without one or two fresh or healing wounds. Despite it, they never seem to bother her.
She is not known for her beauty but rather her roughness, like a coming storm. Difficult not to notice and even more difficult to avoid if you're caught. Her expression is always one of mischief and cruelty. Though she can preen and pretend like the best of them, her expressions always hold a tint of poison. She carries herself with a rather belligerent air, a haughty pride.
Reputation/Personality
Sariel finds the most joy in combat. Sinking her teeth into another and watching the blood pour, for her there is nothing better. She often gets into fights with other wolves just for the fun of it. Sometimes springing on a wolf out of nowhere, other times challenging them directly. She has yet to lose which only further fuels her combatative desire.
She's a no-good, mischief-making, criminal with every desire to wreck havoc on her enemies. If you're not her ally, you're her target and rest assured, she will do all in her power to make your life miserable. While she has the usual Sanzin cunning, it is the duller blade in her weaponry. While she is up for trickery, she'd rather it not take a long time. A short and swift end is more desirable except when it comes to combat.
History
Sariel was born into a family much like all other Sanzin wolves. Her parents only did the minimum for their pups. They praised the strong ones and ignored the weak. Sariel was born into their second litter with three other siblings. One of which was the runt. Weaker than the rest, she was soon marked as a pushover by the other pups. It wasn't long before she perished. Throughout the whole affair, Sariel and her siblings did nothing but observe. While Sariel and her brother would join in on the hazing occasionally. She seemed to watch them with disappointment. Their sister did not. He was weak and only got what he deserved. The event did not go unnoticed.
While her father continued his usual indifference towards them afterwards, her mother started to change little by little. She started to pay more attention to them. At one point, even stepping in when they were bullying the new target. Sariel's sister started following their mother's actions and showing care to the other pups. The change in attitude bewildered Sariel and her brother. They couldn't understand why they were acting this way.
Everything changed when they were a week away from turning a year old and losing their Zero status. In the dead of night, their sister appeared and head them follow her. They met up with their mother and under the disguise of a midnight patrol, their mother started leading them to the border. Her brother was the first to catch on that something was amiss. Their mother was not a Spade and doing extra work was not in the spirit of a Sanzin. Their family was trying to escape. While it was not forbidden exactly. It was frowned upon and branded them as weaklings and traitors. Her brother did not want to suffer that disgrace. Neither did Sariel. He confided in her what he believed was happening and what they should do and she agreed. They were going to kill their mother and sister.
Her brother pretended to hear something in the distance and steered the group to a secluded spot in the territory. Since their mother and sister were pretending that they were patrolling, they had no choice but to follow. Under the guise of tracking a scent, Sariel made her way behind her mother and sister. Once she was in position, she signaled to her brother to attack. Being the better fighter, she went after their mother while her brother went for her sister.
Her sister had expected the attack. Initially, she had only wanted her mother and herself to escape since she knew her siblings were too entrenched in the Sanzin to allow it. Her mother had insisted on bringing them though. She had caught on that they knew early on and was prepared for an attack. She was quick to extricate herself from their brother and free their mother. Together, they ran for the border with Sariel and her brother giving chase.
The border was in site when Sariel's mother stumbled. Sariel and her brother were quick to latch onto her. She had been badly injured and knew that even if she escaped, she wouldn't last long. Their mother pleaded with their sister to leave without her. With one last angered look at her siblings, Sariel's final sister left the territory. Though she had escaped, it was not without scars. A dear parting gift from her estranged family.
Sariel dealt the final blow to their mother and together, they brought the corpse to their father with an explanation of what passed. Their father ordered them to never speak of their escaped sister again. In fact, they never had a third sister. As for their mother, she was to be forgotten as well. For what they did, they were given a starting rank of six. From than on, the two became an inseparable pair of demons. They both became diamonds and both rose in the ranks simultaneously. They were almost never found without the other.
